what are we looking for?
we want to fill this magazine with content that embodies the variety of the auDHD experience
the goal is to include diverse auDHDers who bring their own unique experiences to the table
there is no single story of what it means to be auDHD, so come and bring your story to the table
nonspeaking folks, people of the global majority, and gender nonconforming folks are especially encouraged to submit!
some topics we'd love to include (but are open to others!):
- PDA
- dating
- AAC & other nonspeaking forms of communication
- early diagnosis trauma
late diagnosis trauma
- experiences with ableism
- how intersecting identities affect one another
- employment
- monotropism
- ...and honestly, whatever topic is lighting you up right now!
compensation
payment
all contributors will be paid $25 as a small thank you for your contribution. I would love to pay more, but the magazine will be priced at $7, and I have no idea how it will sell, so payment has to be low this first time around. thank you so much for understanding.
affiliate income
in addition to the $25 payment, all contributors will have the ability to earn 50% affiliate income. basically, this means that you'll have a specific link you can share, and when people buy the magazine using your link, you'll receive 50% of the money from that purchase.
exposure (*eyeroll*)
okay, I know exposure as payment is bullshit (hence the $25 and affiliate income!) but I feel like it is worth mentioning that you should get quite a bit of exposure. the benefit of collaborating is that if we all promote the magazine, all of our communities will see all of the contributors, which is a LOT of exposure!
in my audience alone, I've got over 28k YouTube subscribers, 23k Instagram followers, and 11k email subscribers. and all of them will get to see your work when they buy the digital magazine!
frequently asked questions
articles should be anywhere between 1,000 and 3,500 words (approximately, if yours falls outside of this range, just email me and we'll work it out!)
because I'm not able to pay much, I'm definitely not comfortable saying that your submission MUST be exclusive to this magazine. please feel free to submit previously published work to this magazine (as long as it's okay with the previous publisher) and feel free to publish this work again in other venues (as long as it's okay with them that it's been previously published)
I'm confident we could figure something out! fill out the interest form and we'll see if we can work it out!
submissions are due by August 5th, and the magazine will be published and go live on August 12
